TREASUREMASTER - GREEN, 39 mm
Treasuremaster is a unique and exclusive mechanical watch, based on the Von Doren Runde. The watch has a retro-inspired dial design and sapphire crystal.
The Treasuremaster draws inspiration from the treasures carried by the Dutch ship Akerendam, discovered off the coast of Runde, Norway. The back of the watch is embossed like a Runde coin.
Since the first automatic watch appeared about 50 years after the sinking of the Akerendam, the Von Doren Treasuremaster is powered by the robust Swiss hand-wound movement, the Sellita SW210-1.

INSPIRATION
THE ROUND TAX
In 1725, the Dutch ship Akerendam set course from Texel to Batavia in Indonesia. The ship was loaded with over 57,000 gold and silver coins that were to be exchanged for spices and silk. Akerendam never reached Indonesia, but ended its journey in a terrible storm near the island of Runde off Ålesund (Norway). The ship's cargo was not discovered until 1972. At that time, the treasure had remained untouched on the seabed for almost 250 years.
The 16th of July 1972, two Swedish and a Norwegian sport diver found some coins and one of the cannons from Akerendam in the bay south-east of Runde.
Paired with a clean yet individual design, Von Doren's latest mechanical timepiece is anything but a chipwreck. The emerging Norwegian brand continues their nautical mechanical evolution.
