Taking the next step in Porsche
Ready for the GT World Challenge with Porsche in Dinamic Motorsport as a "VIP" driver and extra attraction for the series.
Team Norway driver Marius Nakken is taking the next step in Porsche, and is ready for long-distance racing in the GT World Challenge , with the Italian team Dinamic Motorsport. GT World Challenge (GTWC) is the largest and most prestigious long-distance series in international GT racing, with a record-breaking starting field in 2022. The championship includes, among other things, the 24-hour race at Spa in Belgium, which is considered one of the toughest and most important GT races.
There are 52 cars entered in the championship, only three of which are Porsches. They face other car manufacturers such as Lamborghini, Ferrari, Audi, Mercedes, BMW, McLaren and Bentley.
Strategic choice After the 2021 Porsche Supercup season, Nakken was in dialogue with several teams for this year's season, but when the proposal to run GTWC came with Porsche, the choice was easy.
- I am grateful and excited about the opportunity and the challenges that lie ahead, and I would like to extend a big thank you to the supporters and teams that make this possible - says Nakken - GT World Challenge is a championship that I have long seen as a further step in my career. It made it easy when the opportunity came in a Porsche, which was also part of the prerequisite. The fact that these are the same cars that Porsche will eventually use in Le Mans when the GTE cars are replaced is another advantage.
In addition to the GTWC long-distance championship, other guest entries are also being worked on. It is possible that Nakken will make guest entries in other sprint series such as the Porsche Supercup and/or GTWC's own sprint series, but the main focus will be on the championship with Porsche in GTWC.
International team In all races of the long-distance series, three drivers share the driving. Nakken shares the car with two Italian drivers - Giorgio Roda, Italian GT Endurance Champion in 2020 and Alessandro Giardelli who came second in the Italian Porsche Cup Championship in 2021.
Valentino Rossi on the starting line. In addition to meeting several top drivers from the Porsche Cup again, Valentino Rossi will also be one of the competitors this year. Valentino Rossi is a familiar name to most. The seven-time MotoGP world champion will be driving for Audi. In addition to his career in MotoGP, Rossi has a lot of experience in track racing, and this year will focus fully on the long-distance series as a "VIP" driver and extra attraction for the series.

Official pre-season testing was conducted at Paul Ricard in France and Hockenheim in Germany earlier in March. The championship starts at Imola in Italy already on 1-3 April and then to Paul Ricard in France on 3-5 June. On 21-21 June there is official testing for the legendary 24-hour race at Spa in Belgium on 28-31 July. Hockenheim in Germany is run on 2-4 September, while the season finale in the endurance championship is at the turn of the month September-October. - Sprint races are what I have the most experience with, and endurance races like the 24-hour race at Spa will be new to me. I believe that my driving style will suit this type of race well, and I am ready for the challenges of this year's season.
